Everyone has something to say, but learning how to say it makes all the difference.
With a Leader in Me Annual Membership, schools can order printed course materials or access digital versions of the student leadership lessons through Leader in Me Online. Life is tough. With consumable media available anytime, anywhere, it can be overwhelming to keep up. And with much of our media engrossed in negative behaviors and events, it can be especially difficult to believe that success in your future is attainable. But don’t let bleak perspectives overshadow the great people in your life and the innumerable opportunities you have to make a meaningful contribution in the world. Discover the power of positivity as you envision a future filled with the freedom to achieve anything you want.
Finding a unique purpose and engaging in work that matters to you will help you realise the one-of-a-kind ways you can contribute to your community. George Bernard Shaw, an Irish playwright who dedicated over sixty years to his craft, put it this way:
“This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognised by yourself as a mighty one; … the being a force of Nature instead of a feverish selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy. I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community, and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can. I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work, the more I live. Life is no ‘brief candle’ to me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got hold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations.”
We’re often our own worst critics, but chances are, you’re doing better than you think you are. If you’re like most people, there are aspects of your life you’d like to improve, or specific goals you’d like to achieve. Your dreams are achievable, but the path to success begins with how you see yourself. The way you view your own potential impacts what you choose to do, and the causes to which you devote your life determine just what kind of life you’ll lead.
To effectively lead your own life, you must be good at seeing and communicating your worth and potential. This course is designed not only to help you see it, but to provide you with skills to grow it exponentially. If life is a journey, you’ve got the power to create the map, the road, and choose the vehicle—so get in and start driving!
